Celine Dion has ‘unforgettable night’ at the opera in Paris

Celine Dion enjoyed a night out at the opera in Paris on Tuesday (June 13), ahead of her European summer tour. The outing marked the Canadian singer’s first time at the opera and based on her reaction on Instagram, Celine had the time of her life.

“Une soirée inoubliable à l’Opéra de Paris! An unforgettable night at the @balletoperadeparis,” wrote Celine, alongside a photo of herself wearing a black metallic studded jumpsuit and tuxedo coat from French fashion house Balmain’s pre-fall collection. The GRAMMY winner’s sartorial selection was carefully curated by her stylist Law Roach as an ode to Balmain’s creative director Olivier Rousteing, who designed the costumes for the Paris Opera Ballet Company.

Speaking about the performance to WWD, the “My Heart Will Go On” singer confessed that her hectic schedule has never granted her time to attend the opera in the French capital. “I’m in Paris for three days, I have 83 concerts [worldwide], so I’m very busy unfortunately – but tonight was the right night,” said the Quebec native.

Celine added that as excited as she was to see the performance of Renaissance, she also wanted to show her support for one of her favourite fashion brands. “I am a huge, huge fan. I have enormous respect for their talent. I’ve been wearing the label for a long time. It helps me a lot to interpret my repertoire as best I can,” she told the publication.

The “Taking Chances” songstress has a busy summer ahead of her. Celine will kick off her European tour in Copenhagen on Thursday (June 15) before performing in 15 cities over the next two months.
