Kim – who is already mom to four-year-old North and two-year-old Saint, with Kanye – has spoken out on Keeping Up With the Kardashians about her desire to give her children another sibling. “I’d just love nothing more than to expand my family, and just know that I have this world at home that’s safe,” Kim told her mom, Kris Jenner, during a March episode of the family’s series. “I’ve come to the conclusion in my mind that I can’t carry another one. So now I want to explore surrogacy.”
Her past pregnancies have not been easy. The social media mogul has been open about the health struggles she faced while expecting North and Saint. During both pregnancies, Kim dealt with placenta accreta, a potentially life-threatening condition which prevents the placenta from detaching after birth. She has also had multiple doctors advise her against carrying a third child.
Even though reps for both Kim and Kanye have not revealed details about the surrogate’s identity, some fans believe it may be a close family member or friend. Kim's BFF Chrissy Teigen has said that she’d be open to taking on the role for her famous friend. "I would be her surrogate in a second,” the 30-year-old supermodel told Access Hollywood. "I really enjoyed the pregnancy process. Yes, in a heartbeat.”
