Kelly Ripa says daughter Lola isn’t a fan of dad Mark Consuelos’s ‘Riverdale’ character

Not all teenagers are obsessed with Riverdale, just ask Mark Consuelos and Kelly Ripa’s daughter Lola. While the 16-year-old loves the show, she has issues with her dad’s character Hiram Lodge. It isn’t the character’s criminal history that bothers her, it’s how lenient he is as a father to Veronica.

During her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Oct 27, Lola’s mom Kelly explained that her daughter wishes Mark was more like Hiram!

“You know, so Veronica—she’s also 16—and she drinks mimosas at breakfast. My daughter’s like, ‘Dad never lets me drink mimosas at breakfast,’” Kelly shared with a laugh, “And I go, ‘Yeah, because he’s a real father and that’s a character on TV!’”

While his daughter is busy dreaming of having the same freedom as Veronica, the 46-year-old Spanish actor is having the time of his life living and working in Canada for the show. “He’s living his best life. He is in Vancouver. He’s never looked better. He is having the best time ever,” Kelly exclaimed.

The TV personality continued: “I wish you could watch Riverdale with my 16-year-old daughter, who is finally like, ‘I cannot believe dad is on a show that I actually watch.’”

Despite both her parents being famous and well-loved in Hollywood, Lola is not immune to the classic parent embarrassment. Kelly shared that she normally can’t get away with posting any photos of Lola on social media, joking, “It’s so bizarre, I’m never allowed to post a photo of her, ever. Why did I have these kids if not to exploit them on social media?”

The blond bombshell once shared a #TBT Halloween photo of her kids dressed up, and quickly received a frantic call from her daughter demanding that the photo be removed, “I was like, you know what, I will take it down. I’ll take it down for you. And that was the end of the conversation.” But, of course, she just had to share it on The Tonight Show before getting rid of it for good!
