Dwayne Johnson may have got his start as “The Rock,” but during the holidays he’s known as “Dwanta Claus”! He revealed to Ellen Degeneres on Tuesday (Dec 12) that one of his favourite things to do during the festive season is to treat children in need to a fun-filled day on his movie set.
“I love the idea of turning my movie sets into Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory for kids,” he explained, adding, “I do a lot for Make-A-Wish and for families who are struggling. It’s the best part of our job.”
The 45-year-old teams up with the film’s crew to fly children in from all over the world. “The crew is always so happy to make the kid’s day. Every director will have every kid come up and say ‘action’ and ‘cut’. I’ll make sure they come up and give me directions, and I’ll say ‘I refuse to talk to the director; the kid must give me direction!’” said Dwayne.
As a devoted father and partner to his girlfriend of 10 years Lauren Hashian, it’s no surprise that Dwayne has the biggest heart – and he’s certainly not shy about showing love for the female forces in his life. The Jumanji star recently announced that he has another daughter on the way by sharing a gorgeous photo of his little girl Jasmine Lia, 1, with a sign reading: “It’s a girl! Can’t wait to be a big sister!!! And finally be the boss!”
Dwayne can’t wait to be a father to another daughter, his third. “And once again, big daddy is completely surrounded by beautiful estrogen and loving, powerful female mana. All girls. One dude. And a boy dog. I wouldn’t have it any other way,” gushed the actor on Instagram.
