Katie Holmes got nostalgic about her time on Dawson’s Creek on Friday, and the snap she shared has fans begging for a reunion of the classic show.
In the shot, the star has her arms draped around the show’s writer Kevin Williamson. The actress who played Joey Potter captioned the photo: "#tbt to my friend Kevin Williamson and me during #dawsonscreek days :). So thankful for this time in my life and these beautiful friendships."
The photo went down a treat with Dawson's Creek fans, who were quick to comment on the post. One wrote: "I love Dawson's Creek it takes me back to when I was a teenager," while another asked: "Reunion please! Bring it back!" A third added: "I really liked that series." Katie played Dawson Leery's (James Van Der Beek) best friend and love interest for the full running of the show until 2003. Katie starred alongside actors including Joshua Jackson – who played Pacey Witter - and Michelle Williams, who starred as Jen Lindley. While writing the show, Kevin modelled the character of Dawson on himself, while Katie's character was based on his best friend.
Katie previously stated her doubts over a Dawson's Creek reunion while talking on radio station SiriusXM. She said: "I don't think we're going to do a reunion. We see each other every now and then." She later praised Kevin's writing for giving young people a platform to be heard. "I think that the charm of the show was Kevin Williamson's writing and it was of that time and it gave teenagers this voice. It was a very, very special time – a special show and I loved every minute of it."
