It’s the news Drake fans and foodies alike have been waiting for! Though details are limited, the man who put Toronto on the map is about to open his new restaurant Pick 6ix – a smorgasbord of Toronto-themed cocktails and sushi, among other popular eats, with reported head chef Antonio Park bringing the heat to the kitchen.

While no official opening date has been confirmed, Butter PR – the company handling the launch – has assured Drake watchers that more information will be released this week. And thank goodness for that; his loyal followers have been chomping at the bit ever since the classic OVO logo popped up last summer at 33 Yonge St. in the city's financial district.
On Monday (Jan. 9), Drake hosted a lavish birthday party for basketball player Dwayne Wade, co-hosted by superstar LeBron James. In true Drake demeanour, a roster of hip-hop visionaries and big sports names were among those who attended and scored a sneak peek of the interior of the newest hotspot in town.

According to the limited photos of the over-the-top party, the interior design is just as extravagant as you'd expect from the 31-year-old: teal velvet, marble and gold accents with tasteful wood paneling. And, of course, the homegrown talent's liquor of choice, cognac, lines the walls.

While most Canuck stars eventually head south to the United States, Drake made a different move – he stayed put. While the “Started from the Bottom” singer has homes all over the map, he maintains The Six as his home base – and he rarely misses a Raptors home game. Last summer, the singer even surprised Torontonians with an OVO flagship store opening at Yorkdale… And the most extravagant announcement ever.
