And baby makes five! It's the news his fans have been waiting for - Michael Bubléand his model wife Luisana Lopilato have officially confirmed that they are expecting their third child, reports E!. The couple already shares two children - Noah, 4 and Elias, who celebrated his second birthday on Jan. 22. The happy news follows a very difficult 18 months which saw their young son Noah battle cancer. According to reports in Luisana’s native Argentina, the couple have told relatives they are excited to turn the page on their recent difficult times and are delighted to be adding to their family.
From social media to interviews, Michael has been vocal about his family being his number-one priority, and the expectant dad is surely over the moon. Of his children, he told HELLO! in 2016 that they are what defines him. "I'm a dad first and then all of this other stuff is a really great icing on what is the cake of life."
The exciting news comes on the tail of Noah's battle with cancer. The young boy was first diagnosed with the disease at the end of 2016, and the family has proven to be stronger than ever. With love and determination - and unfortunate misdiagnoses along the way - Noah has finally seen some light in Los Angeles.
After a series of ultrasounds in both Luisana's home country of Argentina and then the United States, a diagnosis was made and Noah was on the road to recovery. "It was all from God - I don’t know how to explain it,” Luisana, 30, told Argentinian TV host Susana Giménez in an interview last year. “If we hadn’t done that ultrasound to find out if he had mononucleosis … it would have been so much worse.”
Both Luisana and her husband pulled out of obligations to put their focus on their boy, who has now thankfully been in remission since April of last year and has remained healthy ever since - just in time to become a big brother for the second time!
A source told Entertainment Tonight that Michael, 42, is excited to get back to work, having taken the past year off to care for his family. "When Noah received a cancer diagnosis, Michael immediately made the decision to step away from his work. It was really a scary time for everyone," the source said, revealing that Michael is "in a really good head space right now".
Fans of the Canadian crooner have a lot to look forward to this year, from Luisana's growing baby bump (and spot-on maternity style!) to Michael hosting the 2018 Juno Awards in March after backing out at the last minute in 2017 to be with Noah. Of his second chance, Michael said in a statement: “I’m so grateful for the opportunity to host such an iconic night in Canadian music. To be able to host the Juno Awards in my hometown is both an honour and a privilege.” And he's no stranger to the event, having hosted in 2013 and picked up 12 trophies throughout his career.
