The most loved-up Hollywood couples

George & Amal Clooney
“It’s a humbling thing when you find someone to love, even better if you’ve been waiting your whole life.” Could there by any more romantic words than those shared by George, 56, to his wife, Amal, when he accepted his lifetime achievement award at the 2015 Golden Globes? His marriage proposal to his sweetheart, 40, was romantic, too. Recently opening up about how he surprised Amal, George says, “I told her there was a lighter to light the candle in the drawer, and she reached back and pulled out a ring.” Playing in the background? A song by his late aunt, the singer Rosemary Clooney, called “Why Shouldn’t I?”

Keith Urban & Nicole Kidman
From public declarations of love during their many acceptance speeches – the most recent being Nicole’s “when my cheek is against yours, everything melts away” at the Golden Globes – to romantic looks while on the red carpet, these two, both 50, are the vision of love. Always the gentleman, Keith never seems at a loss for ways to recognize his wife of 11 years, often kissing her hand in public or stealing a smooch. Remember the time he stopped mid-concert to FaceTime Nicole on their 10th anniversary? How sweet!

Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi
“Being her wife is the greatest thing I am,” says the comedian, who’s been married to Portia, 45, for nine years. The pair constantly thank “whatever, whoever is out there” for bringing them together. This year, for Ellen’s 60th birthday, Portia established the Ellen DeGeneres Wildlife Fund to build a gorilla wildlife preserve, bringing her spouse to tears on live TV. Says Ellen, “I’m going to be with her till the day I die.”

Justin Theroux & Jennifer Aniston
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and a selfie Justin, 46, posted of the couple on Jennifer’s 48th birthday last year featuring his sweetheart blowing a kiss at the camera said it all (well, that and Justin’s love heart emoji!). The couple, who married in 2015, are never shy to express their love. “She’s beautiful. So I constantly say that,” the actor has said. The Friends star, meanwhile, shares the sentiment, “He’s just so beautiful and handsome to me... He just gets better every year.”

Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively
They are known for having fun at each other’s expense on social media, and it is that ability to make one another laugh that keeps their love burning bright. The spark for these parents of two first became apparent when they were on a double date with other people. “It was like the most awkward date for the respective parties because we were just like fireworks coming across,” said Ryan. The funnyman, 41, is loving, too – he even smuggles treats into the U.S. for his foodie wife, 30. “She loves these apple pies they make in Vancouver!”

Kevin Bacon & Kyra Sedgwick
A 29-year union is eternity by Hollywood standards, but for Kevin, 59, and Kyra, 52, it’s been a fabulous ride. They met on-set and then built careers while growing their family. Now, as parents of two young adults, they’re role models on how to make love work. Kevin calls Kyra “the woman of my dreams.” Kyra, is equally smitten, saying, “When he walks into a room, I’m still... I mean, my heart gets a little fluttery and I think, ‘Oh! He’s so cute. He’s so hot.’ That’s literally the first thing I think.”

Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith
Will, 49, and Jada, 46, married on New Year’s Eve 1997 and keep the romance alive with spontaneous gifts and love notes. For her 44th birthday, Will posted, “I’ve told you ‘I love you’ at least 8,285 times. Of the nearly 3.96 billion women on the planet, there is only one that I want to spend the rest of my life with.” Their enduring love story is admirable, but it simply makes sense, according to Jada, “We just have a good time together. I guess that’s the secret. We just really like each other.”

Joe Manganiello & Sofia Vergara
And the award for most romantic husband goes to… Joe! In celebration of their one-year wedding anniversary, the actor, 41, decided to put his love for wife Sofia, 45, into words by taking the classic love letter to a whole new level. “I wrote her a book as a gift for our first anniversary,” he said last year. “It was about how we met – as well as our courting – and was about 40 pages long.” Take note, gentlemen!

David & Victoria Beckham
Why buy your wife flowers when you can give her something that will last a lifetime? That’s David’s motto and he proudly shows off his love for Victoria, the mother of his four children, through tattoos! From a portrait of Victoria inked on his arm to 10 roses representing their 10th wedding anniversary, David, 42, says the works of art are “an expression of how I feel about Victoria.” While his better half can’t boast a similar tattoo count, she isn’t short of words to express her love. “He’s my soulmate,” she said last year, after nearly 20 years of marriage. “We are lucky to have each other.”
