Ryan Reynolds has added a new baby to his family, but it's not the kind he typically has with wife Blake Lively. Following in the footsteps of George Clooney's Casamigos and Drew Barrymore's eponymous wines, the actor-turned-entrepreneur has purchased Aviation Gin. “In the long and in no way disastrous marriage of showbiz and alcohol, so happy to announce I’m the proud owner of a gin company… @AviationGin,” the Deadpool star wrote on Twitter.
“Aviation is the best tasting gin in the world. Once I tried it, I knew I wanted to get involved with the company in a big way,” Ryan, 41, said in a press release. “If you think all gin tastes the same, you’d be mistaken. Aviation is in a completely different league and I couldn’t be prouder to be a part of the company.”

The entire endeavour has been laced with Ryan's signature sense of humour. Known for his sarcasm and dry wit, the Canadian star brings a welcome levity to everything he does. In the gin company's own Twitter announcement, they refer to the father of two as an "Actor, producer, professional good-looking person." But nothing has been quite as hilarious as Ryan's Out Of Office note, an auto-reply that Hello! received on contacting his company email, firstname.lastname@example.org.
"Thank you for your email and interest in Aviation American Gin! I’m away from my desk at the moment but will respond the moment they give me a desk," the note starts off. After singing the libation's praises, it continues with a little more detail on what he'll bring to the role: "My responsibilities here at the company are vast. I’ll spend my days being photographed intermittently clinching my jaw muscles while pointing at things and nodding. I’ll drink Aviation Gin. I’ll sit in board meetings, imagining my very own Red Wedding."
And finally, a send-off: "Thank you again for your email... If the matter is urgent, please contact my secretary, Bruce, who’ll respond the moment I get a secretary named, Bruce."
In addition to shooting the sequel to his wildly popular dark comedy superhero series Deadpool, the actor's daughters James, 3, and one-year-old Ines will be delighted to see him take on the voice of Pikachu in 2019's Pokemon movie Detective Pikachu.
