2018 Oscars: Donald Sutherland and Ben Mulroney prove not all Canadians know each other

Ben Mulroney has a storied pedigree in Canada, but the son of former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney eluded fellow Canuck Donald Sutherland at the Oscars 2018 red carpet. In the funny moment, the homegrown actor proved that not all Canadians know each other! When being interviewed by the etalk anchor, Donald asked, "You're Canadian?" Small world moment.

Donald took home an honorary Oscar in November for his lifetime achievements in film. The two-time Golden Globe Award winner also has an Emmy and a Genie to his name. Having appeared in more than 200 films and TV series, the New Brunswick native is best known for his work in MASH, Animal House, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Hunger Games and many more. The 82-year-old will next appear in the FX series Trust, where he plays billionaire industrialist John Paul Getty.

Though not on Donald's radar, Ben is one of the country's most famous TV personalities. Choosing not to follow in his family's political footsteps, the 41-year-old has interviewed some of the world's biggest stars on etalk. He is married to Meghan Markle's best friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney.
