Blake Lively’s latest posts on Instagram have left many fans wondering if she and Ryan Reynolds have some exciting news to share. The actress posted a picture on Sunday (April 29) in which she designed a game of Hangman with the caption, “Who wants to play?” Her followers were quick to share their guesses in the comment section, with many theorizing that the blank letters spell out a baby announcement. A few hours later, the mother of two did little to squash the speculation by posting another picture of the puzzle with the letter "W" filled in.
Fans had to wait until Monday (April 30) morning before getting more clues, and the addition and omission of some letters turned pregnancy speculation to career talk. Some users pointed out that the word puzzle could spell out “What happened to Emily?” in reference to the character Blake plays in her latest film A Simple Favor. The movie, directed by Paul Feig, follows the story of a mommy vlogger (played by Anna Kendrick) determined to uncover the truth behind the disappearance of her best friend Emily. The thriller, based on Darcey Bell’s best-selling novel, was shot in and around Mississauga last August.
While Blake and Ryan may not be welcoming a little brother or sister for daughters James, 3, and one-year-old Ines just yet, they are adding tons of buzzworthy roles to their resumes. Vancouver-native Ryan is preparing for the release of Deadpool 2 on May 16 and will soon film a third instalment of the superhero franchise. He has also been tapped to star in Clue, inspired by the hit boardgame. His wife is equally busy, having recently signed on to play the lead role in the adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s The Husband’s Secret and rumours are swirling that a third Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is in the works!
