Kim Kardashian was the most relatable mom at the Met Gala

By: Meaghan Wray

This year’s Met Gala proved that Kim Kardashian is just like every other mom who hates spending a moment apart from her kids. While the star was attended the annual high-profile event, a photographer caught the sweetest snap of Kim pulling a silly face for her kids on FaceTime!

It’s probably one of the cutest photos from the gala, which saw other A-list moms like Blake Lively, Evan Rachel Wood, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim’s little sister and new mom, Kylie Jenner, bring out their sartorial A-game to celebrate the theme, Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination . Ever the fashion maven, the mother of three rocked a sleek high ponytail and a chain-like golden Versace dress, pulling out all the stops with a deeply smoky eye.

Aside from fashion and business, Kim is ever present on social media, and it didn’t take her long to spot the photo on Twitter. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star responded, “They caught me FaceTiming my kids LOL.” While the party and after-party continued in the wee hours of the morning, the 37-year-old was probably saying goodnight to her little ones, North, 4, Saint, 2, and 3-month-old Chicago. We just love seeing our favourite stars in their most candid moments.

But it was mommy’s night out, and she wasn’t wasting a minute! After dazzling in what looked like liquid gold on the red carpet, the business mogul stepped into something a little spicier – an all-black Versace look, featuring the luxury brand’s classic leather bandage-style straps. She was heading out to join her Hollywood pals at one of the many Met Gala after-parties, this year without her husband, Kanye West, who’s currently working on, not one, but five albums.
