As guests started arriving for the royal wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at Windsor Castle, stunning Amal Clooney stole the show in a sunny Stella McCartney ensemble (which caused an instant spike in searches for yellow dresses according to Harper's Bazaar!) and matching veiled hat by milliner Stephen Jones. But it was the human rights attorney's husband, A-listerGeorge Clooney, who was the life of the party at the newlyweds' reception at Frogmore House - where the former Casamigos owner reportedly hopped behind the bar to serve tequila shots.
It seems that the Saturday evening (May 19) celebration, Harry and Meghan's second wedding shindig, was where Hollywood and British royalty formed a most perfect union - and the stars were keen to toast the Duke and Duchess of Sussex well into the night. But it was the 57-year-old actor and humanitarian who kicked the festivities into high gear. "George hopped behind the bar and was actually bartending for a bit," a source told ET. "He poured Casamigos drinks and shots and got everyone dancing!"
In 2013, George and his longtime friend and partner Rande Gerber founded the luxury tequila brand before selling the company last year for upwards of CAD $900 million. In the time that they were building the hugely successful brand, George and Cindy Crawford's husband became intimately familiar with how best to make and drink tequila, so it's no surprise that guests were feeling his bartending skills.
And it didn't end there! The charistmatic Hail, Caesar! star managed to get the two most famous royal women in the room - Meghan and new mom Duchess Kate - out on the dance floor for a group waltz, says the Daily Mirror. The lavish soiree started winding down at around midnight after a beautiful fireworks display illuminated the Windsor sky to bring a whimsical end to a fairy tale day.
It was widely reported that George and Amal, 40, parents to twins Ella and Alexander who turn one next month, would be among the guests invited to the royal wedding. Meghan and Amal have reportedly known each other for some time and share a London hairstylist, Miguel Perez. Compared to some of the other high-profile guests, George and his wife had a relatively short trip to Windsor as they live just a half-hour away.
George and Amal join a host of stars who were in attendance for the historic wedding. The guest list included Oprah Winfrey, Idris Elba, Carey Mulligan, Tom Hardy, Elton John as well as David and Victoria Beckham. Meghan’s close friends Priyanka Chopra, Serena Williams and actress Abigail Spencer were also in attendance. They mixed and mingled with the people who helped Meghan establish roots in Toronto – her Suits co-stars and best friend Jessica Mulroney. Meghan’s former castmates were all on hand to support her, including Canadian actor Patrick J. Adams, who played her onscreen groom on the legal drama.
