Diary of the week: Power Ball XX, Butterfly Gala, David Drebin, Greenwood Stakes and WaterStone

Suzanne Rogers, Real Housewife Grego Minot and more of Toronto’s fashion set descended on Greenwood Stakes – fascinators in tow! – for a day of cocktails, best-dressed awards and, of course, horse racing. Meanwhile, international art sensation David Drebin celebrated the opening of his exhibit at Gelerie de Bellefueille, which saw a full house of collectors and socialites unite over a shared love of art. The Powerball spiced things up for the week with its incredible circus theme, art installations, free tattoos and notable guests like The Handmaid's Tale actress Amanda Brugel.
At a private home down in the Kingsway, VIP guests gathered for the 4th annual WaterStone Foundation Garden Party in support of eating disorder treatment in Canada. In a similar vein, the 21st annual Butterfly Ball – with the help of honourary chairs Yannick Bisson of CBC's Murdoch Mysteries and his wife Shantelle – raised $720,000 to support the Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre, which works to end child abuse and provide service for those in need.
