Christina Aguilera and Jimmy Fallon teamed up on Thursday (June 14) to give Big Apple subway riders the surprise of their lives! Donning epic disguises, the duo took to the platform to perform Aretha Franklin’s “Think,” collecting a huge group of impressed commuters before the big reveal!

After hitting the tune out of the park, the talk show host removed his wig and sunglasses to announce that the crowd had been fooled all along. As they erupted in cheers, the mother of three removed her hat to reveal her signature ice blond hair, moving straight into belting out one of her biggest, most powerful hits, “Fighter.”

The platform turned into an outright concert, with hundreds of people gathered around singing Christina’s lyrics back to her. Later that evening, the 37-year-old appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote her incredible new album, Liberation, stunning in a black satin pantsuit with slicked-back hair. She opened up about her adorable little girl, three-year-old Summer Rain Rutler, who is featured on her album.

“Her voice is on the album! When I’m doing my vocal warmups, she slams the door and she’s like, ‘You’re interrupting Peppa Pig! ’ It’s hilarious,” Christina shared, adding that her daughter is a big fan of the kids show PJ Masks. After sharing the relatable story, the GRAMMY winner sang a slowed-down version of the show’s theme song, showing off her daughter’s nightly lullaby routine.

Opening up about her latest project, which is her first studio album since Lotus in 2012, the iconic singer explained that it was all about inspiring her fans. “I just felt it was time for myself to be liberated, to inspire others to have their own voice, to feel empowered,” she gushed. “And hopefully inspire to, you know, take the duct tape off, feel themselves, feel secure in their own voice, their bodies. It’s just that time. Peel off their masks and shed the skin and be themselves.”
