Pamela Anderson's relationship with French soccer star Adil Rami has received her mother's stamp of approval. The Canadian star was recently spotted introducing her sporty beau to her mom Carol outside the famed Ivy Restaurant in Beverly Hills and the meeting was a smashing success. "He's a wonderful guy," Carol gushed to TMZ following the family get-together. When quizzed on a potential engagement, Pam's mom stayed tight-lipped, but gave her blessing should wedding bells ring in the future. "He's really nice," she added.
The motherly introduction comes on the heels of another milestone for the couple, their one-year anniversary in June. Pamela and Adil first met at the Monaco Grand Prix in May 2017 and started dating soon after. By August, the mother of two was a fixture at Adil's matches in Marseille and most recently watched her longtime love help France win the World Cup in Russia.
Just who is the man who has won Pamela's heart? Here is everything you need to know about Adil Rami.
Adil was born on Dec 27 1985 in Bastia on the French island of Corsica. He was raised in Fréjus on the Côte d'Azur and now lives in Marseille, where he is a defender for Olympique de Marseille football club. Luckily for the couple, distance is not an issue as Pamela relocated to France prior to her chance meeting with Adil. The star has said that when she made the transatlantic move she didn't "expect to fall in love."
Like Pamela, who has two sons with her ex-husband Tommy Lee, Adil is a father of two. The athlete has twin boys with his former partner Sidonie Biemont. At 32, Adil is 19 years younger than Pamela, but age doesn't factor into their love story. "He says 'Come on, you must be 30 not 50. Show me your driver’s licence, this is impossible, impossible!" shares Pamela, referencing her ageless beauty.
Unlike some of her more highly-publicized romances with Tommy Lee, Kid Rock and rumoured fling Julian Assange, Pamela and Adil are determined to keep their relationship private. “He is not with me because he wants attention and vice versa," the 51-year-old explained to the Daily Mail, adding, "We have a very healthy, simple wonderful life without all the bells and whistles. He is a good guy, really a good guy.”
