Ariana Grande had a major Celine Dion moment with James Corden

Anyone who’s familiar with Ariana Grandeknows how talented she is at musical impersonations – but we’re willing to bet nobody saw this Titanic re-enactment coming on The Late Late Show! Taking on the iconic roles of Rose DeWitt Bukater and Jack Dawson, first played by the inimitable Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio, the popstar and James Cordentook to the stage with their emotional (and sometimes funny) rendition. “Tonight, we’ve got 13 songs, nine sets, one take and zero pressure,” he said to the crowd before diving into the performance on Monday (Aug. 13).

The two powerhouses tell the tragic yet romantic story of Rose and Jack aboard the sinking Titanic ship using popular songs through the ages, which aptly fit each scene perfectly. From Styx’s “Sailing Away” to Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby” to Rick Astley’s “Never Gonna Give You Up,” the dynamic duo takes viewers through the entire story in just under six minutes. But the really special moment comes when the 25-year-old and talk show host have their Celine Dion moment, singing a stunningly harmonized duet of “My Heart Will Go On”.

The “God is a Woman” singer has made a name for herself as one of the industry’s most talented impersonators, showing off her range in her first-ever late-night interview on The Tonight Show back in 2015, where she first took a stab at the French-Canadian chanteuse’s vocals, not to mention fellow pop stars like Christina Aguileraand Britney Spears. The superstar has been busy preparing for the release of her latest album, Sweetener, while planning her wedding to comedian Pete Davidson.
