Bradley Cooper unveils Lady Gaga as 'A Star Is Born' on the TIFF red carpet

Mother Monster has always been one for theatrics, and now that Lady Gaga's poised to become a bona fide movie star, her flair for the dramatic is serving her well. After floating across the red carpet in Venice at the premiere of her film A Star Is Born, the pop icon treated fans at TIFF to a moment of life imitating art on Sept. 9 as she had co-star Bradley Cooper unveil Hollywood's new 'it' girl ... literally!

Clad in a dramatic Armani Prive gown and speckled veil, the 32-year-old made a show-stopping arrival at Roy Thomson Hall for what was surely the festival's most highly anticipated premiere. She and Bradley then joined up on the red carpet, where they posed holding hands before turning to face one another and bringing pure magic to the scene. Bradley delicately lifted the veil off Gaga's face and she pulled it behind her back, turning it into a chic gauzy shrug, as the two posed for more photos and the crowd went wild.

The third remake of A Star Is Born scored ample buzz around the trailer alone, and the reviews for Bradley Cooper's directorial debut have been stellar. The film sees the singer, born Stefani Germanotta, take on the role of struggling musician Ally, who falls in love with and finds a mentor in Bradley's Jackson Maine, a well-established rocker. But as her star rises, her new partner has to face his demons and struggles with addiction for them both come out on top.

At a TIFF press conference, the GRAMMY winner opened up about her experience making the movie with the Oscar nominee. "I don't know that I've ever had a closer artistic friendship with someone as I do with Bradley," she explained. "This entire experience was life-changing. I have never had an artistic experience like this before."

Bradley echoed his leading lady's sentiments, and it's clear that he's caught the directing bug. "I've never been more fulfilled than in this process. The hardest thing was knowing that all the people on this couch trusted me. The fact that they gave their blind trust to me was terrifying and motivating."

And with just the right dose of drama on and off the screen, it seems Bradley found the perfect partner for this new adventure.
