Blake Lively has taken Hollywood by storm since her star-making debut on Gossip Girl, but the 31-year-old is also half of one of Hollywood’s favourite couples. The actress shows off her comedy chops off-screen in exchanges with her husband of six years, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, famously using Twitter and Instagram as a forum for their affectionate teasing. “We do it in real life all the time,” she told HELLO! of their banter.

“It was just an organic thing, and I don’t know where or when it happened, but all day long, we are just [teasing] each other because that’s my best friend!” she gushed of her hubby. “I always win, of course,” she added, before joking, “And I am not competitive at all.” But really, she revealed that she still gets nerves sometimes around Ryan, the way sweethearts do. “I just want him to think I’m awesome and not ever find out that I’m not!”

He’s sure to think her latest project, A Simple Favour, is awesome. In the neo-noir black comedy thriller, which co-stars Anna Kendrick, Blake plays Emily, a mysterious woman in a marriage that isn’t exactly what it seems – and it’s this double-sided quality that really attracted Blake to the character. “She is very self-assured and everything is easy for her,” she says. “But when you see what happens behind closed doors, you see how vulnerable and raw she is.”

One question on fans’ minds is when her personal and professional lives will cross paths, but as far as she’s concerned she and Ryan have already achieved the pinnacle of success as a team. “We have done our greatest work together, our family,” said the mother of two, who shares daughters James, 3, and Inez, 1, with her Canadian partner. “That is the work I am most proud of.” But that doesn’t mean crossing paths professionally is out of the question for the beloved couple! “Maybe one day we’ll work together, and there’s nobody I would love to work with more than him.”
