Drake certainly knows how to make a home his own. After purchasing a $6.7 million plot of land in one of Toronto’s most luxurious neighbourhoods, the Bridle Path, the Canadian rapper is set to build one of the city’s most luxurious mansions yet – and some of the details seem almost too good to be true. He’s going big and going home.
A known super fan of basketball, having been spotted courtside at too many NBA games to count, the “Started from the Bottom” rapper’s new house will feature a league-sized basketball court and jersey museum to show off some of his favourite numbers, according to CBC. Naturally, the award-winning actor-turned-singer will also be building an awards room, where he’ll get to show off and keep safe all of his shiny trophies. The designer and builder of Drake’s house in The Six, Ferris Rafauli, shared a look at the outside of his upcoming home on Instagram.

A mansion wouldn’t be complete without a bar or two, which the Degrassi alum will place near his gigantic indoor pool. And if two isn’t enough, he’ll be having a third built to house chilled wine and champagne – a very Champagne Papi move! Two saunas, a massage room, hot tub, piano room, screening room and a gym will also be added to his humble abode.
But this isn’t the first celebrity home to be built in this part of Toronto – the Bridle Path was also a favourite of former music legend Prince. And celebrities and musicians like Mark Wahlberg, Rachel McAdams and Emily Haines of the band Metric are among the famous faces that call Toronto home – and back in 2014, the Globe and Mail reported that celebrated Spanish filmmaker Guillermo del Toro has a home somewhere in the east end of the city.
