For viewers watching the show, Dancing with the Stars may look like a breeze – but there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes that the world can’t see. During practice, Pamela Anderson – who’s competing on France’s version of the popular show – injured her leg so badly that she was spotted using crutches to walk.
Leaving her doctor’s office in Paris on Thursday (Oct. 18), the Baywatch alum looked chic as ever in a black pleated summer dress and matching flats while holding her taped leg off the ground with the help of her crutches. And despite her severe injury, which has put her out of dancing for at least a few days, the blond bombshell insists that she has no complaints: “I cannot complain about my life. An adventure,” she wrote on Instagram. She shared a snap on social media, showing her relaxing in a bathrobe with her leg wrapped.
On Wednesday (Oct. 16), the Canadian model detailed the traumatic event in a lengthy post. “We weren’t doing anything crazy just dancing. It felt like someone threw a baseball very hard at my lower leg- I screamed and turned around and no one was there. Then realized it was my calf muscle that may have exploded,” she explained. “My mom stayed with me through the night. I cannot move my foot towards me. I cannot put pressure on my foot without pain. I’m on crutches now. I’m sad but hopeful that I can continue to dance.”
Her loyal admirers took to her social media post to send their best wishes for a quick recovery to their favourite celebrity dancer. “Wishing a fast recovery Pam!! From Canada sending love!!!!” said one fan, while another commented, “Hope you heal quickly Pamela & are able to rock your dance on Saturday! You're strong, you got this!!” Pamela, 51, is still hoping to dance on Saturday’s show – it’s her “favorite dance so far, to one of my favorite artists who I admire so much.”
