Katy Perry, Chris Martin and more slated to headline festival to support victims of Malibu wildfires

Over the Remembrance Day weekend, wildfires ripped through parts of California, forcing many celebrities and their families to hurriedly evacuate their homes. Sadly, stars like Miley Cyrus, Gerard Butler and Robin Thicke were devastated when the Woolsey fire just north of Los Angeles destroyed their homes completely.

One Love Malibu Festival
Hollywood A-lister are coming together to put on a benefit show in support of the Malibu community destroyed by the California wildfires. The One Love Malibu Festival, a collaboration between the Malibu Foundation and One Love Malibu, is set for Dec. 2 and will see a number of big names hit the stage.
Katy Perry, Chris Martin, Gwen Stefani, Robin Thicke and more musicians will be singing their hearts out to raise money for the reconstruction of the city. Slated to attend is Katy's boyfriend, Orlando Bloom, supermodel Cara Delevigne and actress Demi Moore, according to ET Canada. There'll also be a silent auction to support the cause.

Arnold Schwarzenegger
The former governor of California gave back to servicemen and women on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 22) by handing out breakfast for those continuing to fight the wildfires. One woman snapped a photo and shared it on Twitter, writing: "I met Arnold Schwarzenegger at fire camp! He served me breakfast".

Sandra Bullock
The Miss Congeniality star donated $500,000 towards relief efforts in the wake of the devastating wildfires. She also donated $100,000 to the Humane Society of Ventura County in effort to save and help more animals rescued.
“The untold destruction from these fires is heartbreaking, especially following the tragedy at Borderline in Thousand Oaks,” Sandra said in a statement, referencing a recent shooting in California that claimed the lives of 12 people. “I’m glad to be able to help. We’re all family in this, whether it be human, furry or feathered.”

Lady Gaga
After sharing a heartfelt message on her social media in the wake of the tragedy, the singer took matters into her own hands to reach out to the community. The A Star is Born actress stopped by a shelter, and a police officer got a snap with her, captioning it: "A young Lady stopped by the Palisades shelter to cheer up the residents ... So much fun! #LadyGaGa". The 31-year-old also kindly delivered boxes of pizza, coffee and gift cards to a Red Cross evacuation centre on Nov. 14.
On Nov. 9, the Grammy winner was forced to evacuate her Malibu home. She took to Twitter to share an emotional message: "I am thinking so deeply for everyone who is suffering today from these abominable fires & grieving the loss of their homes or loved ones. Chris Martin and Pierce Brosnan
The Coldplay frontman and actor attended a Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors meeting on Nov. 15, where they offered their thanks to those fighting the wildfires on the front lines. Chris said: “We as a community are going to do the utmost to help ourselves, but there is sometimes an image of Malibu that people like me are there more than other people. And there’s a lot of people who need help from outside.”
Pierce continued: “For over 35 years I have witnessed many fires in my community and personally experienced the devastation of those fires up close and personal, but none as catastrophic as the events that have taken place in our community these past five days and nights. The lives of many friends and neighbours have been turned to ash.”

Khloé Kardashian
Kris Jenner, momager of the Keeping Up with the Kardsahians clan, shared a photo of Khloé with a protective face mask on and a screen grab of an email sent by Kylie. The reality star wrote in the caption: "After @kyliejenner sent this on our family group text @khloekardashian ran to the pharmacy to shop for the Firefighters... such a huge heart Bunny!! Let’s take care of our guys! Thank you to all of the men and women fighting these fires and risking their lives... #gratefulbeyondwords #powerofprayer".
The new mom was one of the stars who had to leave home behind, taking her daughter with Tristan Thompson, baby True, to her brother Rob Kardashian's home for safety. She wrote on Twitter: "I am with Rob, Dream and True and I am up keeping watch! Saying prayers and thanking all of the brave firefighters who risk their lives for us".

The Parks and Recreation star's son and nephews lent a hand, helping with evacuations and bringing food to the firefighters in the hills above Thousand Oaks.

Miley Cyrus
The pop star shared on Sunday night (Nov. 11) that her home was burnt down. She wrote on her Instagram story: "Completely devastated by the fires affecting my community. I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong. A representative for Miley told The Associated Press that the singer and Liam Hemsworth are donating $500,000 to the Malibu Foundation though Miley's organization, The Happy Hippie Foundation.

Neil Young
The Canadian singer-songwriter has sadly lost the Malibu home he shares with wife Daryl Hannah in the devastating fires. In a statement posted on the website Neil Young Archives, the celebrated musician spoke of climate change and president Donald Trump: “Firefighters have never seen anything like this in their lives,” he wrote. “I have heard that said countless times in the past two days, and I have lost my home before to a California fire, now another.”
His statement continued: “Imagine a leader who defies science, saying these solutions shouldn’t be part of his decision-making on our behalf. Imagine a leader who cares more for his own, convenient opinion than he does for the people he leads.”

The singer and his girlfriend's home was another one lapped up by the flames. April – who welcomed her first child in April – shared a photo on Instagram story of where their home once stood, writing: "Our house is gone".

Gerard Butler
The actor's home was completely destroyed in the fire, but he took the opportunity to commend firefighters for their bravery, calling on his fans to donate money. "Returned to my house in Malibu after evacuating. Heartbreaking time across California. Inspired as ever by the courage, spirit and sacrifice of firefighters. Thank you @LosAngelesFireDepartment. The reality TV star and her family had one hour to evacuate their Hidden Hills home. Kim documented the fires on her Instagram story as she shared the news with fans, saying: "Just landed back home and had 1 hour to pack up & evacuate our home. I pray everyone is safe."

TMZ originally reported that Caitlyn's home was burnt down, however, she took to Instagram to share the happy news that her house actually made it: "We finally made it back to the house ... Our house made it. It was devastating out here in Malibu. You can see the hills are totally scorched," she said in a video. "We're very, very lucky."

It's unknown whether or not the supermodel sisters' family home is safe, but their high school alma mater may not have survived the flames. Gigi posted a photo on her Instagram story, writing: "To my friends and their families and our whole community: I wish the best for your safety and the security of your homes. I'm so sorry to everyone who has lost already in these fires... & heartbroken for our cherished Malibu High".

The mother of three was forced to evacuate her home on Sunday night (Nov. 11) when the fire began engulfing her street. But the reality star was one of the lucky ones, as she shared on Instagram. "The fire was coming up the hill towards my house and just stopped on its own."
