Love is in the air whenever Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are around, and last night’s (Nov. 14) CMAs were no different! The country music singer took home the award for Entertainer of the Year and his supportive wife was on hand to sweetly celebrate the milestone achievement – his ninth win at the annual country extravaganza. They laughed, they cried, they boogied, and back at home they kissed and giggled – and we loved every second!
Up against some of the best in the industry, Keith’s name was called and the tears were already flowing as he and Nicole shared a long embrace where she said “I love you.” The 51-year-old then took the stage, Nicole watching him with a big smile and dewy eyes as he immediately dedicated the win to his family. “Baby girl, I love you so much. I’m shocked beyond shocked,” he gushed to the crowd, wiping away tears with the back of his hand. “Our girls at home, Fif and Munchkin, I love you. Thank you for supporting daddy and loving me through all of what I do. Same with you, baby girl, for making it worthwhile.”
The camera panned back and forth between the couple as the “Somebody Like You” singer continued with his heartwarming thanks:“I have so many people to thank, I wish I had more time to do it right now. The fans who are phenomenal, country radio, everybody who voted for this, thank you so much … I wish my dad was alive to see this, but he’s watching over me tonight. And I just feel very, very blessed and very grateful that I get to do what I do. Thank you, all of you, for coming out and god bless country music. God bless you all.”
Earlier that night, the celebrated musician performed one of his hit songs, “Never Comin’ Down,” and even showed off some of his sexiest dance moves. His actress wife, who won a Golden Globe this year for her role in the celebrated TV series Big Little Lies, immediately got up to match his dance moves, singing and rocking along during her husband’s epic performance. After Keith’s performance, his big win and a few selfie photo ops, the two headed home to celebrate – and even let fans in on their cutest gigglyl moment at home.
The Australian artist took to Instagram to share a video thanking his fans, saying: “All the fans, you guys are phenomenal. You are phenomenal. You have no idea how much this award means to me. Thank you. The Graffiti U tour has been such a blast, and we’re still on it and on the road. But thank you, every single one of you. Country radio, I love you.” Mid-way through his message, Nicole popped into the frame to kiss her husband sweetly on the cheek, giggling her way through the rest of the adorable video.
