Priyanka is officially a Jonas – or rather, a Chopra Jonas! After a whirlwind week of beautiful Christian and Hindu wedding ceremonies in India, the actress has finally taken to Instagram to change her name in honour of her union to Nick Jonas.
While her name remains the same on her other social media channels, like Facebook and Twitter, she wasted no time switching it up on her most-followed account, which boasts a whopping 32.2 million fans. It seems like she’s settling right into married life with the former member of the Jonas Brothers – and we couldn’t be happier for them!
The couple kicked off their festivities with a night out in Mumbai, joined by Nick’s brother Joe Jonas and his Game of Thrones star wife Sophie Turner. Following the fun, the couple enjoyed a Mehendi ceremony, where they each got henna artwork on their hands, then a Sangeet – the pre-wedding musical party where friends and family acted and danced for the couple.
Once the weekend came around, the newlyweds and their closest family and friends gathered at Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace for their back-to-back Christian and Hindu ceremonies. But the excitement didn’t end there! The group headed down to Delhi for a lavish reception before hitting the red carpet as an official pair for Bumble’s launch in India.
Dressed to the nines, yet again, the newlyweds were clearly basking in their first days as husband and wife while enjoying the reception. Priyanka, 36, made jaws drop in a silver and cream lehenga, stacked red-and-white bangles and a draped dupatta shawl to match. Her hair was adorned with white flowers and she wore the most beautiful pieces of jewelry – a pair of glittering earrings and a triple-tiered necklace. Her dapper husband, 26, looked handsome as ever in a navy-blue velvet tuxedo.
But nothing quite topped her wedding dress, crafted by Ralph Lauren. "For the western wedding, we had been talking to a bunch of incredible designers," Priyanka revealed exclusively to HELLO!. "But ultimately when Ralph Lauren approached us (they're so much a part of our love story for obvious reasons) and I learned that Ralph has only designed three wedding dresses in 50 years - one for his daughter, his daughter in law, and his niece - I was blown. Then when we went in for the sketch presentation, they created exactly what I envisioned for myself on my wedding day... and I said yes to the dress."
