In the first Super Bowl ad of the year, Michael teamed up with PepsiCo’s line of sparkling water, bubly, to bring some New Year’s laughs. Sitting on the floor of a corner store, the suited-up singer is seen changing each and every “y” to an “é” to appropriately spell his last name, Bublé.

Though the GRAMMY winner has seen some tough years during his son Noah’s battle with cancer, it certainly hasn’t taken away his sense of humour. So, it only makes sense that he’d be gung-ho to poke some fun at himself in support of American football!

The father of three (he and wife Luisana Lopilato welcomed their third child, daughter Vida, five months ago!) released a statement following the debut of the commercial, saying: "I am Canadian and I am a big fan of football. I had a blast doing my first Super Bowl commercial with bublé – I mean bubly. Because of our similar names, the brand and I share a special bond. I love how the cans are bold, bright, and full of personality. They're perfect for any Super Bowl viewing partés you might be having."

The star has had quite the year in the spotlight! From appearing in a hilarious and heartfelt episode of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke in October 2018 to receiving his well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and releasing his tenth studio album love a month later, Michael hasn’t slowed down one bit since returning to the limelight. And things might be getting even more interesting in the coming years … While accepting his star, he revealed that another baby may be in the works: “Hey, you know what, I feel blessed to have three, and I would never have an issue with having more. But it’s up to my beautiful wife.”
