The well-wishes for Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez continue to pour in – this time in the form of a handwritten note from Barack Obama! The former U.S. president reached out to the loved-up pair nearly two weeks after they got engaged during a romantic vacation in the Bahamas.
“Michelle and I just wanted to congratulate you on your engagement,” the letter, which A-Rod posted to Instagram, reads. “After 26 years together, we can say that whatever challenges life may bring, sharing them with someone you love makes it all better.” The former baseball star captioned the photo, “This means the world to us. #44”
On Sunday, A-Rod melted hearts when he posted a special message on Instagram, wishing his fiancée a great first day at work. “This beautiful woman starts shooting her movie tomorrow, Hustlers,” he wrote. I won’t play spoiler, but I can’t wait until you all see how she transforms herself into a completely different character!”

This beautiful woman starts shooting her movie tomorrow, “Hustlers.” . I won’t play spoiler, but I can’t wait until you all see how she transforms herself into a completely different character!! . She’s been working so hard lately. I’m glad we were able to enjoy a quick little break before she dives into this new project. . Love you baby and continue to shine, fly high and inspire all of us. @jlo #hustlers
The pair announced their engagement news to the world on March 9, when A-Rod posted a picture of them holding hands on his Instagram account. The caption? “She said yes” with a heart. J. Lo also put the same image on her Instagram account.
“We’re really happy,” J.Lo told People just days after returning from the romantic vacation. “We have [an] appreciation for where we are in our lives today, and that’s what we’re enjoying the most,” Rodriguez added.
The couple told the publication they’re excited about planning their wedding, but admitted tackling their first fashion partnership together is their biggest focus right now. Jennifer and Alex are the new brand ambassadors for the eyewear label Quay Australia, and even star in the company’s latest ad campaign.
“Everything that we do, we do together,” the Blue Bloods star told the publication, and noted her new fiancé has been incredibly supportive of her career aspirations. “He knows my dreams and I know his dreams, and together we feel like we’re stronger.”
The dynamic duo – who together, with their kids, make a family of six – have been dating since 2017 and moved in together that same year.
