Carly Rae Jepsen to release long-awaited new album ‘Dedicated’ in May

By Zach Harper

After nearly four years of waiting, Carly Rae Jepsen is finally going to release a new album! Dedicated, the follow-up to 2015’s Gold-certified Emotion, will be out May 17 on School Boy/Interscope.

While Carly hasn’t revealed the full tracklist for the album yet, “Now That I Found You” and “No Drug Like Me” are among the songs that will be featured on the new release, which is already available for pre-order on iTunes. Curiously, “Party for One,” which was supposed to be the lead single, is not listed yet.

The Juno Award-winner also plans to tour heavily in support of what will be her fourth full-length LP, and has already announced shows in Europe in late spring and throughout the United States this summer. If you’re wondering when the Canadian will announce dates at home, stay tuned because we can only bet they’re coming soon!

Carly broke out with her smash hit “Call Me Maybe” in 2012. Emotion furthered her success and became a cult favourite when she released it in 2015. It also saw her music cross over from a mainstream pop audience to the indie scene, widening her appeal. The album was shortlisted for the 2016 Polaris Music Prize, an annual award given to the best full-length album based on artistic merit, which is determined by a panel of journalists.
