Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman’s love is the gift that keeps on giving! While the country crooner picked up his Academy of Country Music Awards for Entertainer of the Year on Sunday (April 7), he made sure to give his sweetest thanks to his wife and their daughters. And his speech, as usual, didn’t disappoint!
The New Zealand native made sure to steal a few kisses from his wife before heading up to the stage. To a standing ovation, which included the Big Little Lies leading lady, the teary eyed singer took to the podium. “Thank you so much. Baby girl, I love you so much. My team, thank you every one of you. To the fans out there, you are amazing. You have no idea what you mean to me. No idea.”
He went on to thank he and Nicole’s daughters – Sunday Rose, 10, and eight-year-old Faith Margaret – as well, saying: “Baby girl, I love you and our girls, Sunday and Faith, who are at home watching right now... I love you guys... Country radio, I love you so much. Thank you so much. God bless every one of you.”
The 51-year-old is certainly no stranger to awards shows! Last year, he won Entertainer of the Year at the Country Music Association Awards, which followed two Performance of the Year wins at the CMT Music Awards and a gold for Vocal Event of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards. And without a doubt, his loving wife is always by his side, cheering him on from the audience.
Keith was up against country icons like Chris Stapleton, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney and Luke Bryan for this year’s prize.
