Céline Dion, Oprah, Rihanna and more of America’s richest self-made women

Rihanna is now the richest female musician in the US, according to a new list from Forbes magazine that ranks the highest-earning self-made women. The pop star's Fenty Beauty line has caused a huge shift in the cosmetics world over the last few years – and the change has also been pretty great for her wallet!

Net worth: US$2.5 billion
The 65-year-old former talk show host and lifestyle guru was born to a teenage mother and raised without indoor plumbing. Since then, she's founded a media empire and also become known for her philanthrophy and awareness she's raised for causes such as mental health, body image and more.
Oprah ranked No. 916 on Forbes's Billionaires list earlier this year. She was the fourth richest celebrity in 2014, according to the magazine, and was No. 64 on its list of the world's most powerful people in 2010.

Net worth: US$1 billion
The youngest of the Jenner sisters sold US$360 million worth of Kylie Cosmetics kits in 2018, according to Forbes, and her Kylie Skin line is worth at least US$900 million, the publication says.

The best-selling female recording artist of all time has made US$1.2 billion throughout her storied career, according to Forbes. With her 14th studio album, Madame X, due out next week, that's only going to increase. The 60-year-old was ranked the 12th richest musician on Forbes's annual list of the world's richest celebrities in 2016.

No. 45: Vera Wang
Net worth: US$460 million
The legendary fashion designer was Vogue's youngest ever editor, left the publication after 17 years, and went on to create iconic looks worn by the likes of Kim Kardashian, Victoria Beckham and Michelle Obama. Vera, who was a figure skater in her childhood, has also been responsible for Olympic figure skating costumes for legends such as Nancy Kerrigan, Michelle Kwan and more.

No. 46: Céline Dion
Net worth: US$450 million
The Canadian pop music legend has sold more than 220 million albums around the world, according to Forbes, but her soon-to-end Las Vegas residency is where the bulk of her income has come from. The magazine says it's brought her US$400 million since she began the stint in 2003.
Céline is set to earn even more money this year when she heads out on a massive world tour to support her upcoming new album, Courage.

Net worth: US$440 million
Judge Judy is still the top-rated daytime TV show in the US, according to Forbes, pulling in 10 million viewers every day. She's earned US$47 million (before taxes) a year for hosting it since 2012.

No. 51 (tie): Beyoncé
Net worth: US$400 million
Queen Bey has sold over 100 million albums worldwide as a solo artist, and 60 million from her time with Destiny's Child. The 23-time Grammy Award winner is also the most nominated artist in Grammy history, and on top of this, her On the Run II tour with Jay-Z made her more than US$250 million, according to Forbes. She'll likely rake in even more dough when she voices Nala in this summer's The Lion King remake.

The EGOT winner's sold more than 150 million albums and singles worldwide, and the Funny Girl's Malibu home is believed to be worth at least US$100 million, according to Forbes.
