Nicole’s doting husband posted a snap to his 2.1 million followers. In an ocean-side picture, he is seen hugging his wife from behind, as she laughs while wearing a wide-brimmed straw hat and beige sweater.
“Thirteen years of magic, music, romance, wild adventures, and the ongoing discovery of pure love. Happy anniversary baby girl xxx,” he captioned the photo.
Of course, Big Little Lies star Nicole took a moment to honour her enviable marriage, too. She posted a heartwarming black-and-white snap of Keith kissing her forehead.
“…love. Happy Anniversary Baby,” she wrote.
Nicole and Keith’s enduring love is something of a fairy tale. The couple met at an event in 2005, and were married in an intimate wedding ceremony in Sydney just one year later. Their family expanded with the birth of their daughters Sunday Rose, 10, and eight-year-old Faith Margaret. The 52-year-old also shares two other children – Connor, 24, an Isabella, 26 – with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
Nicole and Keith, 51, are always professing their adoration for each other.
“[Meeting Nicole] and getting married wasn't life-changing, it was life-beginning. It was literally, like, ‘Ok, life starts,’” the country crooner gushed to CBS News in 2016.
“Somebody had given me her number and I had it in my pocket for a while. I kept looking at it thinking, ‘If I call this number, she’s going to answer. I don’t know what [to] say,’” he said two years later on the Australian talk show Interview.
“I wasn’t in a very healthy place in my life. I’d never have thought she’d see anything in a guy like me,” he continued. “But at some point I plucked up the courage to call those numbers and she answered, and we started talking and we talked and talked and talked and talked and it was effortless.”
On Nicole’s 38th birthday, Keith showed up on her doorsteps and whisked her away on a trip to New York.
“I believed by that point he was the love of my life. Maybe that’s because I am deeply romantic, or I’m an actress, or I have straight faith as well,” she told People in January. “But I just believed, ‘Oh, okay, here he is.’”
