What a catch! Alex Rodriguez is making a play for fiancé of the year!
The former pro baseball player took to social media on Wednesday (July 24) to share a sweet video montage celebrating his bride-to-be, Jennifer Lopez, who turned 50 the same day.
"Hi baby girl. Just wanna wish you a Happy Birthday. I cannot believe this baby girl," he said at the beginning of the clip. "Since we've been together, you have made me feel like everyday is my birthday. Thank you for your passion and your energy and your inspiration, and your endless pursuit to be the best at everything that you do."
He continued, "You're simply the best partner in life. The best daughter. The best mother. The best performer. We love you. Your fans love you. Your children love you. And I love you. Let's make this birthday a very special one. Te quiero mucho."
The two-minute clip features several intimate photos and videos of the couple with their kids — J.Lo's 11-year-old twins Emme and Maximilian, and the 43-year-old's daughters Ella, 11, and Natasha, 14 — including everyone enjoying family vacations and various celebrations together.
The “It’s My Party”artist left an adorable response to the video in the comments section: “I’m crying... I love our life... I love you so much... Thank you, my beautiful Macho.”
J. Lo and A-Rod announced their engagement on social media on March 9, when A-Rod posted a picture of them holding hands on his Instagram account. The caption? “She said yes” with a heart. J. Lo also put the same image on her Instagram account. The picture shows off the stunning ring the former baseball player gave the singer when he proposed.
The pair have been dating since 2017, and moved in together that same year. The two recently marked their second anniversary with a heartwarming image and message posted to Jennifer's Instagram account. “You make my world a more beautiful safe and stable place,” the singer wrote in the Feb. 3 post. “You make me feel like a teenager starting out all over again.”
The lovebirds have spent much of their relationship paying sweet tributes to each other. At the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, J. Lo melted hearts with a message for Alex during her acceptance speech for the Vanguard Video Award. “Alex, you’re like my twin soul. My life is sweeter and better with you in it,” she said.
This marriage will not be the first for either J. Lo or Alex. She’s been married and divorced three times, and he’s also been married once. We’re glad they found each other!
