Earlier this month, Gwyneth Paltrow and her new husband Brad Falchuk were spotted at the beach with Gwyneth's ex-husband Chris Martin and his girlfriend Dakota Johnson.
The unusual outing prompted plenty of headlines, but Gwyneth and Chris have maintained their friendship despite calling their relationship quits years ago. Gwyneth was even said to have orchestrated a reunion between Chris and Dakota after it was rumoured their love was on the rocks!
But they aren't the only former celebrity couple to remain close and friendly after a breakup. We love seeing former star couples continue to support each other and be there for each other!

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner
The stars met on the set of Pearl Harbour in 2001 and started dating in 2004. They married a year later and have three children: Violet, Seraphina and Samuel. They continue to co-parent, and often spend time together. Just this past year, they were spotted together in public on several occasions.
Ben and Jennifer also continue to be there for each other through difficult times. Jennifer drove Ben to rehab for alcohol abuse issues in 2018 after he relapsed, and she continues to support his recovery and be a pillar of his sobriety.
Jennifer and Ben's mom, Christine Boldt, are also coffee buddies and are often pictured spending time together in Los Angeles.

Lenny Kravitz and Nicole Kidman
Lenny has made a point of of maintaining strong, deep friendships with his exes. This might be because of his parents' own breakup and how deeply it affected him. He's spoken about how his relationship with his father became strained after his parents divorced.
Nicole and Lenny were engaged in 2003 and 2004, but called their relationship off. Nicole later married Keith Urban.
"Some things just don’t work, but the wonderful thing is that we’re all friends," he said on Watch What Happens Live a few years ago.
Lenny and Nicole recently reunited when Lenny's daughter Zoe Kravitz starred with Nicole in Big Little Lies.
"I thought it was very interesting that they ended up on the same show and Zoë hadn’t seen Nicole since she was younger," Lenny said on the same episode of Watch What Happens Live. "It was beautiful that they got to know each other as adults and make this great show together."
To warm your heart even more, Lenny and Keith are also friends! The two were seen hugging at the 2013 Country Music Television Awards.

Like Lenny, J.Lo has had a large number of high-profile relationships, and she's still close to several of those ex-boyfriends and ex-husbands.
Diddy and J.Lo began dating when she was working on her first album in the '90s, but later broke up.
The two reunited at the afterparty for her All I Have residency in Las Vegas last year and hugged before J.Lo introduced Diddy to her current partner, Alex Rodriguez, who became her fiancé in March. The two appeared to get along and J.Lo seemed very pleased to see them meet.

Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez
J.Lo started dating Marc Anthony, with whom she had maintained a lengthy friendship, in 2004. They married the same year, and are the parents to twins Emme and Max.
The two continued to co-parent after their split in 2011 and divorce in 2014.
The two later worked together on J.Lo's Spanish-language album Por Primera Vez.
"It actually repaired certain parts of our relationship that had been fractured from our marriage and our divorce and it made us friends again," she told Spotify in 2017. "Because when we first started working together, it’s how we met… we met working. And so we remembered that, like, oh right, we connect on this level of music."

Elizabeth Hurley and Arun Nayar
Elizabeth and Indian businessman Arun started dating in 2002 and married in 2007. They split in 2010 and divorced in 2011.
The two continued to co-parent Elizabeth's son Damian, and just last year they were seen out and about with each other in London at swank nightclub Annabel's, which is a favourite with the royals.

Courteney Cox and David Arquette
The two met on the set of Scream, started dating while filming Scream 2 and were married by the time Scream 3 started production. The former couple have a daughter, Coco, who was born in 2004 and who they have continued to co-parent since they divorced in 2010.
Courteney told Bear Grylls the two eventually realized they were still friends, but there was no intimacy in their relationship anymore, so it reached a natural end.
"I mean, as divorces go, I would say it's one of the better ones. For sure. We're good co-parents together," she said.
Just last year, David posted the photo to the left on his Instagram, showing him and Courteney proudly wishing Coco a happy start to her high school years.
"Don’t grow up too fast! I love love love you!!!" he wrote.

Demi Moore and Bruce Willis
Demi and Bruce married in 1987 and have three daughters together: Rumer, Scout and Tallulah. They separated in 1998 and divorced two years later, and have continued to co-parent.
They also maintain a strong friendship outside of parenting. Demi made a surprise appearance at Bruce's Comedy Central roast (pictured) in 2018, hilariously calling him one of her "top three husbands." (Demi has been married three times.)
She also attended his wedding anniversary party earlier this year, when Bruce and his wife Emma Heming celebrated 10 years together and renewed their vows.

Hilary and the former Canadian hockey player started dating in 2007 and married three years later. They have a son, Luca, who they continue to co-parent after their divorce in 2015.
Just a month after announcing they'd separated in 2014, the couple took a vacation with Luca. Hilary has routinely wished Mike a happy birthday and called out his fantastic parenting skills.
“We do the best we can every day and we always try to take each other into consideration and put Luca first,” Hilary told E! in 2017. “The base of it is we truly care about each other and we are good friends and we love each other’s family and we love our kid. And that’s just it. It’s not always that simple, but for the most part, when you break it down, that’s how it works.”

Naomi and Liev started dating in 2005 and had two sons together in 2007 and 2008. The two separated in 2016, but remain close friends and are often seen walking dogs together in New York. Just this past February, they were seen getting coffee together.
“It’s always hard, you know? You build a life with someone and things change,” Liev told Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist in 2018. “The way that we’ve looked at it is that we’ll always be partners with these kids.
“It’s important to support each other. I was making some jokes at breakfast about Mommy and their eyes light up when I talk about her. You can see how important it is to them that their parents care about each other.”

Chris and Anna met in 2007, started dating shortly thereafter, and married in 2009. Their son was born in 2012, and the couple separated in 2017, with their divorce being finalized the next year.
When Chris got engaged to Katherine Schwarzenegger earlier this year, Anna made headlines by commenting on the Instagram post announcing their happy news.
“I’m so happy for you both!! Congratulations!” she wrote.
A day later, she gushed about how thrilled she was for both of them.
“I knew that it was gonna happen, and I love her and I love him,” she said. “I’m just so happy that they found each other.”
“The truth is there isn’t any bitterness. They’re both... amazing people, and I’m so happy,” she continued. “I texted him back, ‘Just want to remind you, I’m an ordained minister.’”
