Shawn Mendes to be featured on Tim Hortons cups – but they’re only available for a short time!

If people across Canada didn’t already know Shawn Mendes’s name and face, they certainly when they see him on their cup of morning Joe thanks to Tim Hortons.

Shawn will work with the iconic coffee chain on its Home is Where the Heart is campaign, and beginning Aug. 30, anyone who orders a double-double will receive a cup featuring the Juno Award-winning, chart-topping singer’s face.

The 21-year-old helped the chain launch the campaign on Aug. 29 when it dropped an ad featuring him sipping from an iconic Timmies cup as he reminisces about ordering hot chocolate when he was a little boy.

“Tims has been a part of my life since before I can remember and I’m so proud to share my love for this Canadian tradition,” Shawn said in a statement.

If you want one of the cups, you’ll have to act fast, since they’re limited edition and only available at select locations! Given how enthusiastic Shawn’s fans are, we bet they’ll be gone pretty soon – and become collector’s items! They’ll only be available until Sept. 6 (which is next Friday, if you’re keeping track), so get on it!

The Tims campaign comes in what’s already a big week personally for Shawn. On Aug. 28, he launched a new charitable organization, the Shawn Mendes Foundation, in an effort to give back. The singer, who topped the charts recently with his “Señorita” collaboration with rumoured girlfriend Camila Cabello, revealed his plans on Instagram.

“For a long time, I’ve wanted to find a way to amplify the causes that my fans care deeply about, and to further help them make their voices heard,” he wrote. “Our generation has the power to change the future of our planet, and to help carry that forward for so many generations to follow. With that, I’m so excited to announce the launch of @ShawnFoundation, to support causes that are important to my fans and our generation.

“I will work alongside my fans to help provide them with a platform and the means to give back and take action. For more information, head to X”

Shawn revealed the organization will work with Toronto’s SickKids Hospital as one of its first charitable partners, along with REVERB, a group that encourages young people’s environmental activism.

Shawn’s fans are incredibly devoted, and that was the case here. Within a few hours of the launch of the foundation’s website, they had already crashed it. It’s great to know how supportive his fans are of his efforts and that they’ve got such huge hearts, too!
