Every award Meryl Streep has won during her incredible career

Meryl Streep is a living legend. The extraordinary actress has won more Golden Globes than anyone, and has also received the most Oscar nominations for an actress, having been nominated 21 times and winning three.
Meryl has also garnered a stunning number of awards from film critics associations and film festivals throughout her career, and picked up yet another on Sept. 9 when TIFF named her the inaugural recipient of the TIFF Tribute Actor Award.
It's pretty hard to put Meryl's achievements into perspective, but we tried to with this gallery, where we round up all the awards she's received throughout her career. It really will make your jaw drop.

The Deer Hunter
Early in her career, Meryl was already being recognized for her acting prowess. She took home this award for her role in The Deer Hunter alongside Robert De Niro and Christopher Walken.
Prior to this, Meryl had won two other awards: She received a 1976 Outer Critics Choice Award for her Outstanding Performances in A Memory of Two Mondays and 27 Wagons Full of Cotton and was given a Theatre World Award for Outstanding Broadway or Off-Broadway Debuts for her role in Secret Service.

Emmy Awards, 1978
The same year, Meryl was recognized for her role in the TV series Holocaust, winning an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Television Movie.

She also picked up her third Golden Globe for her performance in the film, and was also honoured with the Muse Award from New York Women in Film & Television the same year.

Meryl was named Favorite Motion Picture Supporting Actress in the annual awards gala, which is decided by members of the public and fans.

Meryl received another Best Actress from this body for her work in Out of Africa.
The same year, she took home an Italian cinema academy award for Best Foreign Actress for her work in Falling in Love.

Golden Globe Awards, 2007
Meryl's sixth Golden Globe was for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical for The Devil Wears Prada.
The film also garnered her a Best Actress in a Comedic Performance award from the Alliance of Women Film Journalists, a Best Supporting Actress award from the National Society of Film Critics, and a Best Comedic Performance award from the Women Film Critics Circle the year before.
She was also named Actress of the Year by the London Film Critics Circle in 2007 and received a Rembrandt Award for Best Foreign Actress that same year. It also won her a Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical Satellite Award.
She also picked up an award for Best Foreign Actress from the Russian National Movie Awards for her work on the film along with The Ant Bully and A Prairie Home Companion.

Meryl was part of the ensemble cast of Doubt, which won a Houston Film Critics Society award that year along with one from the National Board of Review. National Movie Awards, 2008
Mamma Mia! got Meryl a Best Performance – Female award that year.
The next year, she was also named Best International Actress for her performance in the film by the Irish Film & Television Academy Awards.
The film also saw her win a People's Choice Award for Favorite Song from a Soundtrack, along with a Rembrandt Award for Best Foreign Actress and a Russian Movie Awards prize for Best Foreign Actress the next year.

Multiple awards, 2009
Meryl and Alec Baldwin's depiction of an intimate moment between two older adults in Its Complicated won them an award from the Alliance of Women Film Journalists. She also received an award for Actress Defying Age and Ageism from the Alliance of Women Film Journalists for her work on that film and Julie & Julia.
The latter movie got her a Best Actress award from the Boston Society of Film Critics the same year, and her work on Doubt saw her pick up a Best Actress award from the Critics' Choice Movie Awards. She was also named Best Actress for Doubt at the Gold Derby Awards, and the cast took home at Best Ensemble Cast award. She also won a trophy for TV Movie/Mini Actress of the Decade for her work on Angels in America.
The cast of It's Complicated also took home a Best Acting by an Ensemble award from the National Board of Review, and the New York Film Critics Circle named her Best Actress for her work on Julie & Julia, as did New York Film Critics Online.
At the Rome Film Festival, she took home the Golden Marc'Aurelio Acting Award for her work on the film, along with a Best Actress from the San Francisco Film Critics Circle and a Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical Satellite Award. She also won a Best Comedic Actress award from the Women Film Critics Circle.
The next year, she won a Best Grown-Up Love Story award for her work on It's Complicated with Alec.

She and Jim Broadbent also won a Best Grown-Up Love Story award from the AARP’s Movies for Grown-Ups Awards, she received a Film Performance of the Year award for her role in the movie from the Dorian Awards and won an Honorary Golden Bear from the Berlin International Film Festival.
In 2013, she also won a Best Foreign Actress from the Rembrandt Awards for her role.
