The duo and their famous friends gave a glimpse of what happened at their weekend engagement party by sharing some snaps from the Los Angeles event to social media.
There was a shot from J.Lo of the happy couple kissing surrounded by white roses and candles with the caption “Thank you Carol and Bob for the most beautifully elegant night.”
A-Rod shared a similar pic and said “So great celebrating with family and close friends last night.”
Leah Remini, meanwhile, posted a selfie of her and her BFF with the caption “"#reunitedanditfeelssogood.”
Singer and songwriter Carole Bayer Sager shared a pic saying, “With @jlo and @leahremini It happened last night! #engagementparty xc.”
Then there was an image that Jenny from the Block shared of her and her soon-to-be-hubby posing with two of their daughters.
The duo share four children — her twins Emme and Maximilian, and his daughters Ella, 11, and Natasha, 14 — each of whom will likely take an active role in the wedding. (Max, for example, is expected to walk his mom down the aisle.)
“For them both, they are still all about their family with the four kids. Their initial strong attraction for each other would have quickly faded if they had not been able to come together as a family,” a source recently told People. “The kids are amazing together. And they have wanted Jennifer and Alex to get married for a long time.”
Two things that aren’t yet known about the big day is when or where it will happen.
“We’re talking about it, but we don’t have any firm plans. We’re talking about a lot of places but I don’t know yet,” the Hustlers’ star recently told Entertainment Tonight . “We can't narrow it down yet.”
That’s contrary to what the 50-year-old said in a YouTube video that said the pair plans to tie the knot in 2020 and in a traditional fashion.
“Now it’s been three years now,” the star said of her romance with Alex. “[We’ll get married] soon, not soon-soon but next year… I’d like a big wedding, I’d like to get married in a church this time. Never been married in a church.”
The couple first shared the happy news of their engagement with fans along with an image of Jennifer's gorgeous 15 carat ring on A-Rod’s Instagram. “She said yes,” he wrote using a heart emoji. Jennifer shared the same snap with followers. The pair were on vacation in the Bahamas when the former baseball star popped the question.
“We’re really happy,” J.Lo told People just days after returning from the trip.
“We have [an] appreciation for where we are in our lives today, and that’s what we’re enjoying the most,” Alex added.
The pair have spent much of their relationship paying sweet tributes to each other. At the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards, J. Lo melted hearts with a message for Alex during her acceptance speech for the Vanguard Video Award. “Alex, you’re like my twin soul. My life is sweeter and better with you in it,” she said.
