Beyoncé was nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Original Song for a Motion Picture for The Lion King's "Spirit." And she and husband Jay-Z surprised everyone by showing up at the 2020 Golden Globes!
The pair skipped the red carpet and snuck into the venue while the ceremony had started. Reports suggest Bey and Jay arrived just as Kate McKinnon was introducing Ellen DeGeneres, the winner of this year's Carol Burnett Award.

In later Golden Globes moments from the broadcast, the singer and rapper could be seen sitting at a table toward the front of the venue. Beyoncé looked resplendent in a plunging gold gown with voluminous sleeves and a black skirt. Jay-Z coordinated with his wife by wearing a classic black tuxedo.
Unfortunately, Bey did not end up winning the Golden Globe for Best Original Song for a Motion Picture. That honour went to Elton John and Bernie Taupin. The long-time professional partners won for "I'm Gonna Love Me Again," the score they wrote for Rocketman.
"[Making this movie] was one of the most emotional moments of my life, and to win this, it's my first time I've ever won an award with him!" Elton said while pointing to Bernie next to him. "We never won a Grammy!"
We can't believe it took the pair 52 years to win an award together!
