These were the GRAMMYs winners in 2000

Can you believe it's been 20 years since 2000?! We can't either!
Every year, the GRAMMYs honour the biggest names in music, and 2000's awards ceremony was a classic! It was the year Santana triumphed, saw the arrival of Christina Aguilera as a star, and plenty of Canadians also won!

Remember "Smooth"? The Rob Thomas and Santana smash, which was the first No. 1 hit of the 2000s, raked in awards at the show.
The collaboration took home trophies for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.

Carlos also seemed very amused at how many awards his album won! In addition to the three previously mentioned trophies, Santana also picked up awards for Album of the Year, Best Pop Instrumental Performance, Best Rock Album, Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals and Best Rock Instrumental Performance. Phew!

Shania Twain won Best Female Country Vocal Performance for "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" Has it really been 20 years since that was a hit?!

TLC picked up three awards connected to their smash FanMail album, including Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best R&B Song for "No Scrubs" and Best R&B Album.

It's hard to believe 20 years ago, Christina Aguilera was just making a name for herself! The star, who was then just 19 years old, took home that year's Best New Artist award.

Canadians had some big wins this year in an era where Canadian music was a hard sell south of the border! Sarah McLachlan picked up Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for her smash "I Will Remember You."

Whitney Houston won what was then her sixth GRAMMY, picking up the Best Female R&B Vocal Performance award for "It's Not Right but It's Okay."
