If you loved Julia Butters's hilarious role in Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, you'll definitely appreciate her viral Oscars moment.
The 10-year-old, who has drawn critical acclaim for playing Trudi Fraser in the Quentin Tarantino film, attracted lots of attention on the red carpet for showing Los Angeles Times writer Amy Kaufman the turkey sandwich she'd stashed in her purse.
"Julia Butters brought a turkey sandwich in her purse because 'I don't like some of the food here,'" Amy tweeted about the moment, which understandably ignited the internet right away.
Let's be honest: This is genius because we all remember moments from our childhoods where we went to a party and the food wasn't... our favourite, right?
This year's Academy Awards has a strong focus on sustainability and a mostly plant-based menu. The offerings are 70 per cent plant-based, while vegetarian, fish and meat dishes make up the final 30 per cent of the menu. Some of the delectable dishes on offer will be vegetarian couscous, homemade tofu with roasted vegetables and eggplant with forbidden rice. One of the classic items that will still be on the menu is Wolfgang Puck's iconic smoked salmon "Oscar statues," which feature caviar and salmon, according to E!'s Daily Pop. There will also be black truffle chicken pot pies and caviar.
While it seems like the menu has plenty for everyone, we definitely appreciate someone who knows exactly what they like, and Julia has done just that by bringing her own sandwich! We just hope she eats it soon so it doesn't spoil!
Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood is up for 10 awards this year, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Original Screenplay.
