Oscars 2020: The biggest winners from this year's show

Oscars night is here! Hollywood's biggest evening sees some of the biggest stars – and rising ones – picking up the most prestigious awards every year. 2020 has been no exception!

Parasite had an incredible night, picking up four awards, including Best Picture! Director and writer Bong Joon-ho and co-writer Han Jin-won were overjoyed as the accepted the Best Original Screenplay award early in the night. The film went on to win Best International Feature Film, and Bong was also named Best Director!

Renee Zellweger received yet another award for her performance as Judy Garland in Judy, winning Best Actress.

Joaquin Phoenix was named Best Actor for his performance in Joker. In his acceptance speech, he spoke against racism, sexism and other inequality, and also teared up when he thanked his late brother, River.

Brad Pitt picked up yet another award for Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, winning Best Supporting Actor. He won a Golden Globe Award and SAG Award for the performance already.
Brad paid tribute to the film's writer and director Quentin Tarantino in his acceptance speech, calling him "one of a kind" and truly unique. He also dedicated the award to his children in a touching moment.

Laura Dern also swept! She picked up the Best Supporting Actress award for Marriage Story after having won a Golden Globe Award and SAG Award earlier this year for the role.

Elton John and Bernie Taupin picked up their first Oscar together for "(I'm Gonna) Love Me Again" from Rocketman. It won Best Original Song. Elton has won an Oscar before, having picked up the same award for "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" from The Lion King in 1995, but this win with Bernie, who is his longtime songwriting partner, must have been incredibly sweet.

Taika Waititi picked up the Best Adapted Screenplay award for Jojo Rabbit.
"I dedicate this to all the Indigenous kids that live in the world who want to do art and dance and write stories," he said. "We are the original storytellers and we can make it here, as well."
He also thanked his mother and said, "Kia ora" as he left the stage. It is a Māori greeting that can be translated to "be healthy," "have life" or "cheers."

Michelle Obama and Barack Obama won an Oscar! The duo's production company was behind American Factory, which was named Best Documentary Feature Film.
