Does James Corden regret making 'Cats'? Here's what he told Justin Bieber

By Zach Harper

Cats has unfortunately been panned since it opened in late December, with critics pretty much universally saying it's horrible. But there are plenty of great films that were knocked by critics and fans when they first came out, such as Apocalypse Now, Blade Runner and even The Wizard of Oz.

Of course, it remains to be seen whether Cats will achieve that kind of classic status. But despite how much it's been mocked – including by its stars – at least one of the A-listers who appeared in it isn't willing to say he shouldn't have made it.

Justin Bieber asked James Corden how much he regrets doing the film version of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical in a very funny game of "Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts" on The Late Late Show on Feb. 20. Surprisingly, the 41-year-old host, who poked fun at the film with co-star Rebel Wilson at the Oscars earlier this month, said it was a great laugh.

"Well, here's the thing," he said to Justin. "I had the loveliest time making that film. It took me six days and I loved every single second of it. So, I think you've got to be careful not to... you've gotta decide things on your own personal experience, and I had a really great time.

"So, I don't regret doing it all, because I decided to do it in the same way I decided to do many things. Some have worked, some haven't. So, I'm going to put it at a solid 5... 4.5."

"Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts" involves the host and guest being asked various questions, some of which are often quite embarrassing or require a delicate response. If they choose not to answer, they're then forced to eat a disgusting dish. Examples during the show included bird saliva, cow's tongue, a beetle Jello shot and ant yogurt with a scorpion garnish. It's safe to say James made the right choice here!

Earlier in the episode, Justin asked him which 25-year-old was more talented: Himself or Harry Styles. Instead of answering, James opted to drink... bird saliva! Ew! Not exactly "Yummy"!

Justin released his first album in five years, Changes, on Feb. 14. The very special Valentine's Day present for his fans also coincided with the public on-sale date for tickets to see him on a huge world tour, which kicks off May 14 in Seattle.
