Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson 'feel better' two weeks after COVID-19 diagnoses

By Zach Harper

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are feeling much better, nearly two weeks after they revealed they both had tested positive for coronavirus.

The Oscar-winning star took to Twitter to update fans on how he and his wife are doing as they continue to recover in Australia. They feel a lot better, he said, while encouraging fans to do their part to stop the spread of the virus by staying home.

"Sheltering in place works like this: You don't give it to anyone - You don't get it from anyone. Common sense, no?" he tweeted.

"Going to take a while, but if we take care of each other, help where we can, and give up some comforts... this, too, shall pass. We can figure this out. Hanx."

Rita is also clearly feeling a lot healthier. On the weekend, she made a hilarious video update in which she filmed herself rapping along to "Hip Hop Hooray" by '80s hip-hop trio Naughty by Nature. You can watch it below:

The clip had other celebs in stitches, and they piled on in the comments to say how funny they thought it was.

"The best video EVER!!!!!!" Kim Kardashian wrote.

"Yessssssss R Greeky!" Jennifer Aniston enthusiastically commented.

We're glad to see Rita and Tom have maintained their sense of humour throughout this!

The couple revealed nearly two weeks ago they were being treated for COVID-19 in Australia after testing positive. They were there because Tom was heading into pre-production for Baz Luhrmann's Elvis Presley biopic. They've since moved into a rented house where they're continuing to recover.

Keep going, guys! You've got this!
