This Mother's Day was like no other due to the coronavirus pandemic. For everyone, COVID-19 meant we couldn't commemorate the holiday in the ways we typically do.
Celebrities and royals also likely weren't able to spend the time with their mamas, children and families. But they were still able to mark the holiday in different ways and pay tribute to their mothers on social media.

The model, who is currently expecting her first child with boyfriend Zayn Mailk, praised her mom, Yolanda Foster, in a sweet Instagram tribute and expressed her hopes she will emulate her mama when raising her child.
Billie Lourd
It has been more than three years since the actress's mother, Carrie Fisher, passed away. This marked the fourth Mother's Day Billie Lourd experienced after her mom's passing, and she shared a poignant message on Instagram.

The American model enjoyed her first Mother's Day as a mom after welcoming son Isaac Menelik Giovanni Ervin in January. To mark the occasion, she shared a playful photo with her mom, Linda Graham, and the newborn.
Céline Dion
The Canadian icon recently lost her mother, Thérèse Tanguay Dion, who passed away at age 92 on Jan. 16. For Mother's Day, the superstar shared a throwback famiy photo on Instagram, and wrote a loving tribute to the matriarch.

The Swedish royal encouraged people to "celebrate love and family" this Mother's Day. She shared a photo of Princess Adrienne sniffing a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

The actress uploaded a photo of her three children, Ava Phillippe, Deacon Phillippe and Tennessee James Toth, as well as her two fur babies.

The funny woman shared a heartwarming photo of herself and her little daughter, Katherine Kaling, in matching dresses and expressed her love to all moms out there during this difficult time.
