The first time this year's Emmy nominees attended the awards show

The 2020 Emmy Awards are taking place on Sept. 20 and a number of veteran actors and actresses have received nominations. It is actually the first time a number of stars have been recognized, but many of them have been attending the awards for years, if not decades.

Olivia Colman, 2016
The British actress stepped out to her first Emmys flanked by Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie, where their TV series, The Night Manager, was up for several awards, including Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her.
At the 2020 Emmy Awards, Olivia is in the running for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for portraying the Queen on The Crown.

Eddie Murphy, 1983
The comedian was co-host (alongside the late Joan Rivers!) and a nominee at the 35th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, and it was his first time being there to boot!
At the 2020 Emmy Awards, he's up for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series thanks to his long-awaited return to Saturday Night Live as host.

The actress made a fashionable impression when she first attended the Emmys almost a decade ago.

At the 50th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, Helena Bonham Carter made her debut, alongside actor/producer/director Sam Neill.
She was nominated for the first time for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for Merlin. This year, she's up for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Princess Margaret in The Crown.

Octavia Spencer, 2014
Octavia Spencer was beautiful in red at the 66th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.
She is nominated for the first time this year for her role in Self Made as Madam C.J. Walker, the first African-American self-made millionaire.

Rachel Brosnahan, 2015
Rachel Brosnahan stepped out to the 67th Emmy Awards.
She's returning to the awards this year as an Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series nominee for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. She won the award in 2018 and was nominated in the same category last year.

Hugh Jackman, 2005
The Australian actor had some Wolverine-like scruff when he made his Emmys debut 15 years ago, alongside wife Deborra-Lee Furness.
He's nominated for his first-ever Emmy at the 2020 awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his work on Bad Education.

Brad Pitt earned an Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series nomination for his appearance as Dr. Anthony Fauci on Saturday Night Live.

Steve Carell, 2006
Steve Carrell had a very successful time at the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, where The Office won Outstanding Comedy Series and he was nominated in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series category.
A the 2020 Emmy Awards, he's now competing for the Lead Actor in a Drama Series award for his role on The Morning Show.

Sandra Oh, 2005
Sandra Oh had a big smile on her face at the 57th Annual Emmy Awards. It's understandable because she was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for Grey's Anatomy.
A this year's awards, the beloved Canadian earned a nod for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for Killing Eve. It's the third time she has been recognized in the category for the role.
