While Angelina Jolie has denied reports that she secretly married Brad Pitt after she was spotted wearing a plain gold ring, the actress has revealed plans to launch a jewellery collection of her own. Angelina's new collection, the Style of Jolie, includes a version of the black and gold necklace that she wore to the 2010 premiere of Salt.

Angelina, 37, announced that she has funded a girls-only school in Afghanastan and she plans to use profits from her jewellery line to fund more schools around the world. The Tourist actress has taken a hands-on role in creating the "chic" and "timeless" range, with many pieces inspired by a tablet-shaped necklace that she gave Brad before their 2012 engagement.

"Beyond enjoying the artistic satisfaction of designing these jewels, we are inspired by knowing our work is also serving the mutual goal of providing for children in need," Angelina told E! News.

Angelina has created the range with the help of the jewellery designer Robert Procop. A spokesman for Robert Procop said that these designs "reflect Angelina's chic sense of style and also feminine strength".

"There are so many pieces that make this collection beautiful and unique," they added. The jewellery will be available exclusively in Kansas City jeweller Tivol from this Wednesday.

During a recent humanitarian visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda, Angelina gave a resounding "no" when asked whether her gold ring was a wedding band. She had reportedly chosen not to wear her dazzling emerald-cut engagement diamond on the trip, opting for a more simple gold ring instead. The ring is said to have belonged to Brad's late great-grandmother.
