The pair announced their split in August 2013, although it was thought that they had been separated for many months before. They were reported to have reconciled in November 2013, as Catherine moved back in to the family home, before they rang in the New Year together on a family ski trip. Speaking to HELLO! Magazine in March, Michael's mother Diana Dill confirmed the reconciliation, and said: "They are together. I knew they would work it out."
