Bradley Cooper has denied rumours that he turned down a date with Taylor Swift. The American Sniper actor, who has recently celebrated his 40th birthday, rubbished the reports and said he never heard from the Shake It Off singer. Bradley was making an appearance on the Howard Stern show on Tuesday when the radio host told him: "Taylor Swift wanted to meet you, she was interested in you as a potential boyfriend, you said she was too young for you." The actor made it clear that this was not the case, telling the host: "I never got a call – nothing".

Howard continued to declare that Bradley and Taylor could be a Hollywood "power couple", leading Bradley to reply: "You would like to see that, you think me and Taylor Swift?" "I can tell physically you would make beautiful children together," replied Howard. Rumours first arose that Taylor had asked Bradley's Silver Linings Playbook co-star Jennifer Lawrence to introduce her to him at the start of 2013. However the 40-year old began dating model Suki Waterhouse in March of that year after meeting her at the Elle Style Awards. In an interview with Rollacoaster magazine Suki revealed that they hit it off "almost immediately".

"We were dancing at the after-party, and he asked me if I fancied going to a club," she said. "We went to Cirque Le Soir in London – and he's a ridiculously good dancer, yes." "But I'm a serious dancer too, so I don't know if I was fully concentrating on that. We make a pretty good duo though." Taylor Swift meanwhile has previously spoken out about her frustration at being linked to so many different men, telling Rolling Stone magazine: "I feel like watching my dating life has become a bit of a national pastime. And I'm just not comfortable providing that kind of entertainment anymore. I don't like seeing slide shows of guys I've apparently dated."
