Bradley Cooper to make West End debut

Bradley Cooper is set to make his West End debut this spring. The three-time Oscar nominee will reprise his Broadway role in The Elephant Man when it heads to the captial in May.

The 40-year-old actor, who has earned critical acclaim for his portrayal of physically deformed historical figure John Merrick, will star in the New York-based play until 21 February before heading accross the Atlantic for opening night on 19 May.

Bradley has been praised for his role in The Elephant Man


The Elephant Man was first staged in London in 1977, prompting Bradley to tell the Daily Mail he is "bringing [Merrick] home".

Serena actor Bradley is frequenting in London, where his girlfriend of nearly two years Suki Waterhouse is based.

The Elephant Man will run until 8 August at the Theatre Royal Haymarket.
