Bobbi Kristina Brown's aunt has said that her niece is "doing better" after nearly two weeks in hospital. Leolah Brown said Bobbi Kristina has been "opening her eyes" and revealed how the family are coping in an interview on Tuesday.

"I was very numb when I saw her," she told Atlanta's Fox 5 TV station. "It's been very, very painful for everybody. Mainly Bobby, because that's his baby."

Leolah, who is Bobby Brown's sister, also said that she is "hopeful" about Bobbi Kristina's recovery.

"There are so many signs showing us that she will be OK," Leolah said. "In spite of what people are saying over the internet, Krissi is fine."

The 21-year-old remains on life support after being discovered unconscious in a bathtub on 31 January, but her aunt insists that she is improving.

"She's opening her eyes, and there's a few more things that she's doing, but Krissi is doing well right now. She is."

Bobbi Kristina's family have remained by her bedside at Emory University Hospital since she was discovered at her Atlanta home by her friend Maxwell Lomas and boyfriend Nick Gordon. They remain hopeful that she will pull through and on Monday evening they joined her friends and well-wishers for a candlelight vigil.

Around 500 people came together for the event, called Shining A Light For Healing for Bobbi Kristina Brown, at the Riverdale Town Centre amphitheatre in Georgia.

Speaking on behalf of her loved ones, Bobbi Kristina's uncle Tommy Brown told those who had gathered: "I know she thanks all of y'all. Continue to pray for us. Remember when you wake up we should all pray for each other."

Wednesday marked the third anniversary of the death of Bobbi's mother Whitney Houston, who was found dead in a bathtub in an LA hotel on 11 February 2012.
