Kanye West admits Grammys antics were 'completely hypocritical'

Kanye West revealed after the Grammys that it was the voices in his head that made him crash Beck's acceptance speech, but on Friday revealed that he knew he had made a mistake. "I think this idea of being better than the next man is the wrong mentality in the first place", he told Power 105.1's Breakfast Club.

The 37-year-old rapper followed on from his 2009 stage invasion by gate-crashing Beck's big moment in 2015. Both times he stormed the stage in defence of his good friend Beyoncé Knowles. "The other day I went to dinner, sat down with Taylor Swift... And ironically, they were playing the Beck album", Kanye revealed.

He then went on to reveal that his actions were "completely hypocritical" as he hadn't even heard Beck's album.

"Maybe they did it on purpose so I could finally hear it. But I was listening, [and] I was like, "Man, this is kinda good. I ain't gonna lie'. I hadn't even heard it, man. I bet you that album is really good...Maybe it was potentially an Album of the Year."

Beck, himself, has previously spoken about Kanye's stunt. "I was just so excited he was coming up," he told reporters following Sunday's ceremony. "You can't please everybody, man. I still love him and think he's genius. I aspire to do what he does."

Kanye West and Taylor Swift dined at the Spotted Pig in New York

It seems like no matter what Kanye does, he is forgiven, for on Tuesday Kanye and Taylor, who he famously interrupted in 2009, telling the world that Beyoncé should have won video of the year, went for dinner together.

The pair posed for friendly pictures at the ceremony, but the two powerhouse entertainers then shocked fans when they had dinner together in New York's West Village.
