The star's appearance was certainly a surprise for Sarah, but not entirely unexpected. She had put in several requests for the singer's services back in January, when she posted a picture of her cute four-year-old son holding a sign that read: "@GaryBarlow please sing at my mummy's and daddy's weddng!!" complete with the date and wedding venue details.

The sign off read: "We love you Gary Barlow!". The Gary Barlow fan tweeted the image various times with an accompanying caption, one of which read: She also posted a longer message that explained her and her future husband were both fans of both Gary and Take That and that his attendance would mean the world to them both.

In the lead-up to her special day the bride-to-be also posted a picture of Take That's latest album cover.

Gary made the offer in early January to perform at three lucky fans' weddings - saying he would choose the brides-to-be who showed him the most love on social media.

Twitter was sent into overdrive when the former X Factor judge wrote: "Ready for some fun ?

"Every week I receive thousands of requests to sing at someone's Wedding !

"In 2015 I want to sing at 3 weddings. The only deal is they have to be HUGE fans and all you have to do is stalk me on here.

"I won't publish on here which weddings till after the event.

"In the past best friends have organised these things so if you want to keep a surprise no problem. Well the good news is there's lots of weddings !!!!!! ;)."This is the first of the three weddings that Gary has chosen to perform at. He personally wrote to one bride explaining that she hadn't had luck, because her wedding date clashed with an event.
